As some of you may know, this section of the newsletter is for me to discuss pretty much any topic of my choosing. There are many topics I want to address, but I feel that I should use this month’s opportunity to personally express why I think most of you would really enjoy attending Casino night.

First, let me start off by saying, I never attended Casino Night until last year. That is why I am writing this. I had an awesome experience, and I was left wishing that I would have attended sooner. Casino Night is marketed as a big fundraising event for the club, but the reason you should attend is because it’s a fun, adult environment with games, food, drinks, and prizes. I was patiently taught how to play Craps, participated in a Texas Hold‘em tournament, won at Black Jack, and then used any winnings to buy raffle tickets for whatever specific prize(s) that I wanted to try and win. But it’s not just the games that make the event fun. Everyone is so friendly and happy you’re there. I had conversations with people I hadn’t seen in a long time and entertaining dialog with strangers at the game tables. The staff and volunteers are great. They are excited to be there, teach the games, and happy to see you win!

If you’ve ever thought about attending, go. Bring your friends, make a night of it. I’m willing to bet, you’ll have a great time.
