POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Director of Development

Monroe County Youth Soccer, Inc. d/b/a Cutters Soccer Club is seeking a Director of Development reporting to the Executive Director for this growing non-profit organization. The Cutters Soccer Club provides Monroe County and surrounding south-central Indiana communities with competitive and recreational soccer programming for participants of all ages and ability. Our vision is to be known for excellence in youth development by fostering personal responsibility, teamwork, leadership, and life skills through soccer.

Position Summary:

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all of the Cutters Soccer Club's fundraising programs including sponsorships, grants, annual fund and special events. Additionally, the Director of Development is responsible for marketing and developing relationships in the community.

Qualifications:

• Must embrace the organizational mission
• Need strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Knowledgeable and experienced in fundraising techniques
• Possess skills to motivate staff, board members and volunteers
• Has the desire to build external relationships
• Willing to be a self-starter
• Organized and exhibits follow through on tasks and goals
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years minimum experience in fundraising.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet with prospective donors, supporters and sponsors on a continual basis
• Oversee grants including research, proposal writing and reporting requirements
• Establish and direct an annual giving program.
• Create and coordinate fundraising special events including outside events that benefit Cutters
• Provide marketing support through press releases, community events and social media
• Make and accept speaking engagements to share information with the community
• Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors
• Oversee prospect/sponsor research
• Develop and maintain donor recognition programs
• Oversee creation of materials to support fundraising activities
• Perform other related duties as requested
• Support the Executive Director, Director of Community and Director of Travel with all necessary support
